Tomorrow’s Girl

I read Tomorrow’s Girl. This story is an interesting story about protecting animals and nature. I started reading it on the 24th of November and I finished reading it on the 25th of November.

There is a man called Bernardo Catullo who has a big island. He decided to sell this island for money. Marta is a girl, she was a history student and lived in 2099. She decided to journey back in time to 1999, but she was afraid she would not come back, when she went to on her journey. She looked at beautiful animals and birds, and a city that was different from 2099. Bernardo liked this girl, so he followed her and looked at all of the island. This girl told Bernardo ‘I am from the year 2099.’ They talked about the island’s future, and she told Bernardo ‘Do not sell this island.’ Bernardo was unhappy because he wanted the girl to stay in 1999, and didn’t want to lose her. Finally, he didn’t sell this island, because he liked birds and flowers, and the island was more beautiful than the island in 2099 .

I value this book as good because I like this story. The story tells us that money isn’t the most important, but nature and animals are the most important to ourself. The English Level I rate as easy so I want to introduce it to my classmates.

She was born on July 24, 1970. It was a good day for David and Guadalupe Lopez and their daughters Lynda and Leslie

They were happy, because they had a new girl in the family. In 1975, Jennifer went to the Holy Family Catholic School in New York. One day in 1988, she said, I want to stop going to school. David and Guadalupe were angry. She walked out of the house. Jennifer lived in her dance school for a short time. She was looking for a job. In 1995, she was in her first Hollywood movie: Mi Familia. In 1999, Jennifer had a boyfriend. His name was Sean Coombs. He's a famous black singer. Early in 2000, Jennifer stopped see him. In 2001 Jennifer starred in The Wedding Planner. It was a funny movie. In the same year, Jennifer got married to Chris Judd. He was a dancer, but they divorced in Aug, 2002. She made many CDs in a different language, that were successful but the last CD in Sep, 2007 wasn't successful and only got to number 12 in the US. She had success in the fashion business, too. She opened a clothes business with Tommy Hilfiger. Some people were angry about Jennifer's clothes and they said some of her clothes come from dead animals and that's not right. Jennifer is in the food business, too. In April, 2002 she opened a place in Pasadena, California. She does a lot of charity work for sick children and she helps families with very little money. So, she is a dancer, a singer, an actress, a businesswomen, and she helps unhappy children and families. Jennifer does all of these jobs very well. Today, she is famous for many things in many countries

I like the story of Jennifer and I like the book. It suggests to me if you have a hope or dream, you must work hard for that. I recommend other students read this book. It is incredible.

His brother is named Raymond and is a special man, he is autistic. When Charlie meets his brother, he will change.

I like this story because the it is very touching. This story tells me that love it is more important than money. When I think about Charlie's change, I think that it is very good.

But I don't know why his brother is named 'rain man.'

English Digest vol 6 lssue 5

I read English Digest vol. 6, issue 5. This is a magazine for helping students learn English. I started reading it on the 13th of January and I finished reading it on the 19th of January.

I read one story about Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson is a famous singer in the world. He became a star when he was 5 years old, and had a lot of people love him and his songs and his dances. He is an idol, so people gave him the nickname ‘King of Pop’.

But during the 1980s MJ lived a reclusive way of life, and he was hiding away at Neverland. He underwent a series of problems relating to his skin and had lots of cosmetic surgery.

In 2009, he declared his return to the stage. But he died in June 2009. He didn’t finish do last performances.

In his career, he created many great MTV videos, songs and dances. He is the ‘King of Pop.' His name we remember forever.

This magazine has a lot of stories. This is my favourite story in this magazine but you can choose others if you like. I think this magazine is the best to learn English for you so I want to introduce it to my classmates.

This is a fictional story. The events revolve around many of the characters I will talk about

Snow White. was a girl of great beauty. The evil Queen, her stepmother, wanted to be the most beautiful lady in the kingdom. She asked her magic mirror “who is the most beautiful woman among the women of this country?”

The mirror’s answer was that Snow White was the most beautiful one. The Queen got angry and asked the hunter to take Snow White into the forest and kill her there.

Snow White cried and begged the hunter to let her alive and she would leave the country. Snow White saw the hut of the seven dwarfs; she told them her story, and asked them to keep her. They accepted to keep her on one condition that she would clean the cottage and cook food. The Queen stood in front of the mirror one day and asked it: “Who is the most beautiful woman among the women of this country?” It answered her “Snow White is the most beautiful” The queen became very angry and smashed the mirror. The Queen tried to kill Snow White several times, but the dwarfs rescued her every time. The latest attempt was successful. Snow White had lost consciousness because of eating the poisoned apple sent by the Queen. The pygmies thought that she was dead and placed her in a glass coffin.

The Prince found the glass coffin and was not able to raise his eyes from that beautiful girl. He begged the dwarfs to give him the coffin. While the prince’s guards were carrying the coffin to the prince’s palace, Snow white fell down and the apple fell from her mouth. She woke up and the Prince proposed marriage to her. Snow White and the prince lived a happy life together.

The book shows how tunnels are made. It tells where tunnels can be. It explains what tunnels are used for.

I think it is a wonderful book. The best thing about the book is I learned how tunnels are made and how tunnels are are made much bigger with explosives. The worst thing is it is very simple, so I can't understand more deeply.

I would recommend the book to other students.

Pele - King of Football

This book talked about Edson Arantes Do Nascimento (better known as Pelé). He is known as a legend and the best soccer player to ever play the game. He was born on 23 October,1940. He was raised in a very poor family in Tres Coracos, Brazil and his parents, Dondinho and Celeste Nascimento called Edson "Dico," growing up. He first learned the game of soccer from his father, Dondinho, who was a decent center forward until his career was halted by a fractured leg. Pelé began playing soccer for a local minor-league club when he was a teenager. His father was happy but his mother not happy because she was afraid for her child, she said footballers always break their legs, also she asked God "Please say Edson isn't going to be a footballer." In 1944 his family went to Bauru because his father was going to play for the B.A.C (Bauru Athletic Club) team. In 1954 he was in the Bauru Stadium again. B.A.C juniors were playing in the Avelone Junior Cup. They won the Cup.

Sept 7, 1956 was big day. He was playing in the Santos team. Step by step, Pele became a famous player and a rich man. In 1957, Santos were the star team in Brazil. Pele scored 64 goals this year, too. He played in the Brazilian team in the Rocca Cup games, and they won the Cup. In 1958 it's World Cup year. He went to Sweden to play in the World Cup. In June 29,1958 they were in the Solna Stadium, Stockholm. Brazil was going to win the Cup. They won the game and they won the world Cup.When Pele received the Cup the King of Sweden said "I'm the king of Sweden but you Pele, you're the king of football." Today all the people of the world know the name of the black boy from Brazil. In 1969 Pele scored goal number 1000. In 1970 they won the World Cup again in Mexico.

This story was easy and wonderful. I recommend my classmates read it.
